In 2023, Fremantle Ports commissioned acclaimed Noongar artist Bradley Kickett to paint the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River) and Derbal Nara (Cockburn Sound), which make up the modern Port of Fremantle. In Bradley’s unique and compelling abstract style (pictured right), the artwork captures the beauty of the river system, where Fremantle Ports operates today. We proudly display the painting in our Administration Office Building foyer in Fremantle, and elements of the painting can be seen in the competition flyer.
