Indian Navy ships open to public Wed 14 June
Three Indian naval ships that arrived this morning will be open to the public tomorrow.

Destroyer ​INS Shivalik, tanker INS Jyoti and frigate INS Kamorta arrived in Fremantle Port this morning.

The ships are taking part in Exercise Australia India (AUSINDEX), a bilateral exercise aimed at developing a deeper understanding and interoperability between the two navies.

The exercise will also provide an opportunity to enhance professional interaction between personnel from the Royal Australian Navy and the Indian Navy.

AUSINDEX is the centrepiece naval exercise held by the two navies.

India first hosted the exercise in 2015 and this is the second iteration of the exercise.

The ships will be open to the public:

When: 10am to 4pm Wednesday 14 June
