Fremantle Ports staff hand out free flags at the Fremantle Anzac Day parade

We recognise the importance of maintaining a good relationship with our neighbours and the wider community.

As one of Western Australia's most important strategic assets, our future sustainability is related to a very large extent on the support of the local and wider Western Australian community for our operations in both the Fremantle Inner Harbour and the Outer Harbour at Kwinana.

We strive to support the economic, social and environmental aspirations of communities in which we operate, with a view to building sustainable futures together.

This depends on effective communication and consultation, so that the port's role in facilitating trade for the benefit of the State, its operational needs and forward planning are well understood and so that community views can be taken into account.

Ensuring that there is a high level of awareness of the economic benefits the port brings to the local, State and national economies is also important in building and maintaining community support.

Fremantle Ports is committed to working with organisations and schools in the wider community area to support education and to increase understanding of the role of the maritime industry and the port.
